eyebrow lift
Procedure used to perform facial rejuvenation.
Frontoplasty or Facial Lifting. With the passage of time, genetic factors or repetitive gestures, the tissues of the frontal area tend to fall, causing an aged, tired, sad, angry or permanent temper. The fall of the eyebrows is one of the earliest signs of the passage of time, it causes the eyes to look smaller and the upper eyelids to look bulky. The elevation of the forehead and eyebrows through endoscopic techniques significantly reduces these signs of aging and restores the fresh and youthful appearance.
The surgeon requests laboratory tests according to the patient and his medical history. The patient should inform the surgeon about the medications he is taking and discuss the impact he could have on the procedure. Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications or vitamin supplements that may increase bleeding. It is recommended to quit smoking long before the procedure. Your plastic surgeon should discuss where the anesthesia will be placed and what type of it will be used.
In this procedure the muscle tissue is lifted and corrected, the excesses are removed and the eyebrow lift is performed. Technologies such as the use of the endoscope and the laser allow these types of wounds to heal very quickly and remain imperceptible. This procedure can be performed together with a rhytidoplasty and a Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). The anesthesia can be local, with sedation or general anesthesia. Normally the surgery is ambulatory and can last between an hour and an hour and a half.
You can return home the same day with a person to help you perform proper care the first day. A healthy diet, low fat and rich in vegetables, fruits, lean meats and plenty of water is recommended. Avoid receiving direct sun during the recovery process. The first few days you should sleep on your back with your head raised. Take the anti inflammatory and prescription pain relievers. You can return to your normal activities for 5 to 8 days, without making strong physical efforts or activities that could hurt your face. It is normal to feel the tense and itchy skin over the wounds the first few days, the sensation will disappear as the tissues heal. You can wash your hair 72 hours after surgery. Avoid hair dryers and hair treatments until one month after surgery. Be careful when brushing.
